#5 of 9 hotels in Città Studi & Loreto by Axel's take. Città Studi & Loreto is #11 of 11 places to stay in Milan. The best hotels in Città Studi & Loreto, ranked · Where to stay in Milan

Axel's take: 7.7/10

A practical Milan base with helpful staff, but uneven four-star polish. a traditional 4-star business hotel near Piazzale Loreto, scored for what it is.

Hotel Lombardia is a traditional 4-star business hotel near Piazzale Loreto, better for a practical Milan stay than a stylish city break. The strongest reasons to book are helpful staff and generally clean, comfortable rooms: Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently support those basics. The internal gardens add a pleasant place to pause, and breakfast generally earns positive feedback. We'd consider it for work trips or sightseeing if you're happy using the metro.

The trade-off is uneven four-star polish. Recent Tripadvisor reviews repeatedly describe dated interiors, with several complaints about weak air conditioning and disappointing lunches or dinners. Metro stations are roughly a ten-minute walk away, rather than on the doorstep. We'd eat out and skip it if contemporary rooms, dependable summer cooling or walking straight to Milan's main sights are priorities.

  • Best for: business travelers; metro-based sightseeing; travelers prioritizing service over style

  • Watch out for: dated interiors; repeated weak air-conditioning reports; a walk to the metro

  • Location: Near Loreto and Città Studi; metro stations are about 8–10 minutes away on foot.

  • Rooms: Generally comfortable, but dated decor and weak cooling recur in guest feedback.

  • Cleanliness: A relative strength, with Booking.com and Expedia cleanliness scores above their overall ratings.

  • Service: Helpful staff are one of the most consistent positives across booking sites.

  • Amenities: Internal gardens, buffet breakfast, a bar and meeting facilities; restaurant feedback is less convincing.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking costs extra, and city tax is payable at the property; confirm step-free access before booking.
