#7 of 9 hotels in Duomo & Centro Storico by Axel's take. Duomo & Centro Storico is #1 of 11 places to stay in Milan. The best hotels in Duomo & Centro Storico, ranked · Where to stay in Milan
Axel's take: 8.1/10
Choose it for the Duomo location and reliable comfort, not contemporary style. an old-school 4-star near Milan’s Duomo, scored for what it is.
Hotel Brunelleschi is an old-school 4-star a short walk from the Duomo and Missori metro. It’s a strong pick for travelers who want central Milan without paying primarily for fashionable interiors. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff; the included breakfast buffet is another consistent plus. We’d choose it as a practical sightseeing base rather than a hotel to linger in.
The trade-off is genuinely dated decor, not just retro styling: worn furnishings and aging bathrooms recur in reviews, including recent stays. Breakfast generally satisfies, though some guests find it repetitive. The hotel confirms a restaurant, bar and modest fitness corner, but these don’t turn it into a luxury retreat. We'd skip it if fresh interiors and polished bathrooms are essential to your idea of four-star comfort.
