#9 of 9 hotels in Porta Venezia by Axel's take. Porta Venezia is #7 of 11 places to stay in Milan. The best hotels in Porta Venezia, ranked · Where to stay in Milan
Axel's take: 6.9/10
A practical Milan base, but don't expect polished four-star comfort. a basic city hotel near Repubblica, officially rated 4-star, scored for what it is.
Baviera is an officially four-star city hotel that makes more sense as a straightforward base than a full-service treat. Its strongest asset is location: Repubblica metro is nearby, and Milano Centrale is walkable. Booking.com and Expedia guests generally rate cleanliness and staff positively, while several 2026 reviews praise comfortable rooms and helpful reception. We'd consider it for a short sightseeing or business stay if location matters more than facilities.
The compromises are recurring: some standard rooms and showers are cramped, soundproofing draws complaints, and breakfast gets mixed feedback. Air-conditioning problems appear across guest sites, although other recent visitors report it working well. Service also attracts both warm praise and complaints about problem handling. Renovation disruption was reported in summer 2025; its current status is unconfirmed. We'd skip it for a quiet, spacious stay or dependable four-star polish.
-
Best for: short sightseeing stays; business travelers prioritizing transport; travelers comfortable with basic facilities

-

-
Service: Often friendly and helpful, but booking disputes and problem handling receive some criticism.
-
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, a bar, buffet breakfast and airport transfers; the official site advertises nearby paid garage parking.
-
