#3 of 3 hotels in Palmeraie by Axel's take. Palmeraie is #8 of 8 places to stay in Marrakech. The best hotels in Palmeraie, ranked · Where to stay in Marrakech

Axel's take: 8.0/10

A good pool-first all-inclusive, with welcoming staff but rooms showing their age. a family-friendly 4-star all-inclusive resort outside central Marrakech, scored for what it is.

Riu Tikida Palmeraie is a family-friendly 4-star all-inclusive outside central Marrakech, better suited to pool days and occasional sightseeing than a city-focused break. It's a strong pick for travelers who want generous gardens, a large outdoor pool and activities without much planning. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Hotels.com guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, spacious rooms and housekeeping. RIU also confirms that the main pool has been refurbished.

The trade-offs are more noticeable inside: recent guests describe tired furnishings and occasional bathroom maintenance problems. Food gets plenty of positive feedback, but repetitive buffets and disappointing drinks recur across Tripadvisor and Hotels.com reviews. The free city shuttle helps, though sightseeing means arranging transport rather than walking out into the medina. We'd skip it for polished interiors, memorable dining or a stay centered on exploring Marrakech on foot.

Best for: families wanting pool days and activities; couples seeking an easy all-inclusive break; travelers combining relaxation with occasional sightseeing
Watch out for: dated rooms and occasional bathroom maintenance issues; repetitive buffets and inconsistent drinks; transport needed for central Marrakech
Location: Outside the center on Route Fés; a free shuttle helps with city visits.
Rooms: Spacious and generally comfortable, but wear and bathroom defects recur in recent reviews.
Cleanliness: Housekeeping is a consistent strength across sites, despite some individual complaints.
Service: Friendly restaurant and entertainment teams stand out; reception problem-solving is less consistent.
Amenities: Large refurbished outdoor pool, indoor and children's pools, kids' club, gym, tennis and three restaurants.
Fees and surprises: Hotels.com lists local taxes payable at the property; themed restaurants require reservations.
