Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong modern base with standout hospitality, but choose your room carefully. a modern 4-star city hotel opposite Marrakech’s railway station, scored for what it is.

Longue Vie is a modern 4-star opposite Marrakech’s railway station, better suited to comfortable city breaks than an atmospheric medina stay. It’s a strong pick for spacious rooms, consistently praised cleanliness and unusually attentive staff. Booking.com, Tripadvisor and Expedia guests broadly agree on those strengths, with the generous breakfast another dependable highlight.

The main compromise is noise: Avenue Hassan II is busy, and recent guests recommend rear-facing rooms. Expect a taxi ride or a substantial walk to the old town rather than souks outside your door. Check the rooftop pool before committing: guests describe using it after early-2026 refurbishment, but Expedia still lists it as closed, contradicting the hotel’s advertised opening hours. We’d skip it if silence, traditional riad character or guaranteed pool access tops your list.

• Best for: couples wanting modern comforts; travelers arriving by train; city breaks outside the medina

• Watch out for: traffic noise in road-facing rooms; old-town sights are not on the doorstep; conflicting rooftop-pool availability information

• Location: Opposite the railway station, with nearby restaurants; allow transport time to the medina.

• Rooms: Spacious and comfortable by guest consensus; request a rear-facing room for less traffic noise.

• Cleanliness: A particularly strong point across Booking.com, Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff attract repeated praise across sites, including recent summer-2026 reviews.

• Amenities: Breakfast, gym, spa and rooftop dining; confirm pool access because current listings conflict.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists free parking and buffet breakfast; city tax and late-checkout charges apply.
