#6 of 9 hotels in Jemaa el-Fna & Riad Zitoun by Axel's take. Jemaa el-Fna & Riad Zitoun is #1 of 8 places to stay in Marrakech. The best hotels in Jemaa el-Fna & Riad Zitoun, ranked · Where to stay in Marrakech
Axel's take: 8.6/10
A strong medina base with peaceful pools, though not uniformly polished five-star luxury. a traditional five-star hotel with courtyard and rooftop pools in Marrakech’s medina, scored for what it is.
Les Jardins de la Koutoubia is a traditional five-star hotel minutes from Jemaa el-Fnaa, and a strong pick for combining medina sightseeing with proper downtime. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the comfortable rooms, cleanliness and helpful staff; recent Tripadvisor reviews reinforce the appeal of its peaceful courtyard and rooftop pools. We'd choose it for Moroccan character and location rather than contemporary luxury.
The reservations are about polish: some recent guests describe tired furnishings or maintenance niggles, while breakfast draws both enthusiastic praise and complaints about limited variety. These aren't the dominant experience, but they matter at five-star level. The hotel also restricts its indoor pool to adults receiving spa treatments, and recent guests report limited doorstep taxi access. Skip it if you want sleek interiors or effortless car-to-lobby arrivals.
-

-
