Axel's take: 8.9/10

Resort comforts and genuinely warm service within walking distance of the souks. a five-star city resort with private ryads beside the medina, scored for what it is.

Le Naoura is a five-star city resort beside Marrakech’s medina, and a strong pick for combining sightseeing with pool time. Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guests consistently praise the welcoming staff, spacious accommodation and convenient location. The heated outdoor pool and substantial family facilities distinguish it from a small riad; larger groups can book private-pool ryads. The hotel now advertises renovated rooms, and October 2026 reporting confirms a refurbishment and the arrival of Beefbar.

The caveat is that most available guest feedback predates that refresh. Earlier complaints about tired interiors deserve less weight now, but occasional housekeeping omissions still temper the luxury promise. Some guests also mention noise from neighboring rooms or service areas, so request a quieter position. We’d choose it for comfortable, family-friendly city exploring, but skip it for an intimate, traditional riad experience.

• Best for: families combining sightseeing and pool time; couples wanting resort facilities near the medina; groups booking private-pool ryads

• Watch out for: occasional housekeeping omissions; room position can affect noise; limited post-refurbishment guest feedback

• Location: Beside the medina, roughly 15 minutes on foot from Jemaa el-Fnaa.

• Rooms: Generous rooms with terraces; renovations are now advertised, alongside multi-bedroom private-pool ryads.

• Cleanliness: Strong cleanliness ratings across Booking.com and Expedia; occasional replenishment lapses rather than a broad cleaning problem.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff are the clearest recurring strength across review sites.

• Amenities: Heated outdoor pool, spa with indoor aquatic facilities, gym, restaurants and a kids’ club for ages 4–12.

• Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion; airport transfers, babysitting and spa treatments can cost extra.
