Hotels in Madrida contemporary 4-star boutique hotel on Gran Vía
8.7/10
A strong city-break choice with helpful staff and rooftop views, but a tiny pool.
Dear Hotel Madrid is a contemporary 4-star boutique hotel that gets the city-break essentials right. Its Gran Vía address beside Plaza de España makes sightseeing straightforward, while Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly, helpful staff. We'd pick it for an active Madrid weekend, with the rooftop restaurant and skyline views adding something beyond a convenient base.
The main caveat is the pool: think cooling-off plunge, not proper swimming. Several recent guests also question its cleanliness, although room cleanliness remains a consistent strength. Noise reports are mixed, with some praising the glazing and others hearing traffic or neighboring rooms. Light sleepers should request a quieter room; anyone planning a pool-focused holiday should look elsewhere. The hotel says the pool is heated in winter, with shorter opening hours.
