Hotels in MadridA refreshed, mid-range aparthotel in Madrid’s lively Malasaña district
8.9/10
A strong Madrid base with helpful staff, useful kitchenettes and a few access compromises.
Aparthotel Tribunal, now marketed as Tribu Malasaña, is a refreshed, mid-range aparthotel that makes a strong base for exploring Madrid. Tribunal metro is practically outside, with Malasaña’s restaurants and shops close by. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the helpful reception team, cleanliness and comfortable beds; recent guests also describe attractively renovated rooms. We’d choose it for the extra space and kitchenette rather than full-service hotel facilities.
The main compromises are access and room-to-room consistency. A flight of stairs precedes the lifts, making heavy luggage and limited mobility genuine considerations. Some guests hear adjoining rooms, and kitchen layouts and equipment draw occasional criticism. Breakfast is not provided, so plan to self-cater or use nearby cafés. It’s a strong pick for independent city breaks; we’d skip it if step-free access or dependable silence is essential.
