Axel's take: 7.0/10

A practical overnight stop, but breakfast and upkeep are inconsistent. a budget roadside chain hotel off I-27, scored for what it is.

This Comfort Inn & Suites is a budget roadside hotel off I-27, best treated as a practical overnight stop rather than a destination. The current Choice Hotels listing confirms the brand despite older Super 8 links. Free parking, breakfast and Wi-Fi cover the basics, and recent Expedia guests often praise comfortable beds, clean rooms and pleasant staff. We'd consider it for a short, car-based stay.

Consistency is the catch. Recent feedback includes breakfast running short, uneven housekeeping and maintenance niggles alongside plenty of satisfactory stays. August 2026 guests reported the gym closed or effectively unavailable, so confirm its status before relying on it. An indoor pool is advertised, but don't mistake the catalog's spa-and-sauna list for a verified wellness offering. We'd skip it if dependable facilities, spotless shared areas or a walkable setting matter most.

  • Best for: budget-minded road trippers; short stays with a car

  • Watch out for: breakfast shortages and uneven upkeep; gym availability needs confirmation; car-dependent roadside setting

  • Location: Convenient I-27 access; better for driving around Lubbock than exploring on foot.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds earn praise; some recent guests report noise and maintenance issues.

  • Cleanliness: Many recent guests find rooms clean, but room and shared-area housekeeping is inconsistent.

  • Service: Recent Expedia feedback generally praises pleasant, helpful front-desk staff.

  • Amenities: Indoor pool advertised; August 2026 reviews question gym availability; sauna and spa unverified.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking, breakfast and Wi-Fi included; official policy excludes pets other than service animals.
