Sheraton Gateway is a full-service 4-star airport hotel we'd pick for a layover rather than an LA vacation. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. The complimentary 24-hour LAX shuttle is the main draw; the outdoor pool, gym and on-site dining make an overnight stop more comfortable.
The trade-offs are expensive valet parking, some dated finishes and variable soundproofing. Recent Trip.com guests report both smooth shuttle journeys and frustrating waits, so leave a buffer before flights. Service is generally well regarded, though housekeeping follow-through gets some criticism. A Tripadvisor guest reported daytime construction beside the pool-facing west side in May 2026; check whether it still affects those rooms.
