Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong extended-stay pick for clean rooms and kitchens, not a full-service experience. a no-frills, kitchen-equipped extended-stay hotel in suburban Schertz, scored for what it is.

This budget extended-stay hotel, opened in 2025, is a strong pick if you want a clean, practical base in Schertz rather than a vacation hotel. Recent Expedia and Hotels.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, helpful staff and comfortable beds; Booking.com also scores cleanliness well. In-room kitchens with full-size refrigerators, free parking and guest laundry make it particularly useful for work trips or settling into the area.

The trade-off is limited service, not a lack of useful basics. Breakfast is grab-and-go rather than a hot buffet, and recent guests repeatedly find the selection underwhelming. The hotel’s housekeeping policy provides full cleaning every two weeks on longer stays, with towels available at reception. Plan on driving for most outings. We’d skip it if daily room servicing, a pool or a substantial breakfast matters more than having your own kitchen.

• Best for: longer work trips; travelers relocating to the area; self-catering travelers with a car

• Watch out for: limited grab-and-go breakfast; infrequent included housekeeping; no swimming pool

• Location: Practical suburban base with convenient highway access; better suited to drivers than car-free sightseeing.

• Rooms: Simple studios with kitchens and full-size refrigerators; recent guests often praise comfort and condition.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent booking-site reviews, despite occasional common-area complaints.

• Service: Mostly praised as friendly and helpful, though the small Tripadvisor sample includes a check-in delay.

• Amenities: Free parking and Wi-Fi, guest laundry and a fitness center; no pool and only grab-and-go breakfast.

• Fees and surprises: Pets cost extra; additional housekeeping carries a charge, and included full cleaning is fortnightly on longer stays.
