A practical Ikoyi base, but confirm the room and building before booking. a simple 3-star annex to an Ikoyi boutique hotel, scored for what it is.

Villa Angelia Hotel Annex is a simple 3-star extension of the Ikoyi hotel, best considered for a short, location-led stay rather than a hotel-centered break. Staff earn praise in Expedia and Tripadvisor feedback, and some 2025 guests describe comfortable beds and pleasant surroundings. We'd consider it for a straightforward overnight, but recent annex-specific evidence is limited and broader hotel ratings vary sharply.

The main caution is knowing exactly what you're booking. Older Expedia guests repeatedly describe small annex rooms and confusion with main-building photos; one reports walking to the main hotel for meals, the pool and gym. Current listings advertise those facilities without clearly explaining the arrangement. There's no elevator, either. We'd skip it if generous space, step-free access or dependable on-site leisure facilities are essential; otherwise, request current room photos and confirm facility access first.

• Best for: short stays in Ikoyi; travelers prioritizing location over facilities

• Watch out for: confirm annex building and actual room photos; pool, gym and dining may require a walk; no elevator

• Location: On Okunola Martins Close in Ikoyi; location generally scores better than room comfort.

• Rooms: Older annex reviews repeatedly mention compact rooms; confirm the exact category and current condition.

• Cleanliness: Limited annex evidence: Expedia's single review gives cleanliness 6/10, insufficient to establish consistency.

• Service: Staff attract praise, including from the annex's lone Expedia reviewer, though broader feedback is mixed.

• Amenities: Pool, gym, restaurant, Wi-Fi and free parking are listed; verify which facilities are at your building.

• Fees and surprises: Airport transfers cost extra; confirm breakfast coverage and any charge for delivering meals to the annex.
