Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong waterfront pick for personable service, with booking details worth checking carefully. an upscale waterfront boutique hotel in Lekki Phase 1, scored for what it is.

The Yacht is an upscale waterfront boutique hotel in Lekki Phase 1, rather than a basic three-star. It's a strong pick for travelers who want a smaller hotel with character: creek views, generously sized rooms and a restaurant overlooking the water. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, while cleanliness feedback is predominantly positive. We'd favor a water-facing room over a city-view category.

The main reservation is booking consistency. Several guests describe reservation or check-in complications, although staff sometimes resolved them well. One May 2026 Expedia reviewer also reported an extra-bed charge and inflexible handling of a mistaken booking date, so confirm occupancy, bedding and cancellation terms directly. We'd skip it if effortless booking flexibility matters more than waterfront atmosphere; recent detailed reviews remain relatively limited.

• Best for: couples wanting waterfront views; business travelers based in Lekki; travelers who prefer small boutique hotels

• Watch out for: occasional reservation and check-in complications; confirm extra-bed charges and room occupancy; check cancellation terms carefully

• Location: On Admiralty Road beside Cowries Creek in Lekki Phase 1; the waterfront setting is a major draw.

• Rooms: The official site lists spacious city- and water-view categories; choose the view explicitly when booking.

• Cleanliness: Predominantly positive across sites, though Expedia feedback is not uniformly consistent.

• Service: Warm, attentive staff are the clearest recurring strength; reservation handling is less dependable.

• Amenities: Waterfront restaurant, bars, spa and gym; Expedia lists breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking as included.

• Fees and surprises: Confirm extra-person and bedding supplements directly; cancellation flexibility depends on the booked rate.
