Axel's take: 7.5/10

A practical Lekki base with friendly service, but room condition needs checking. a straightforward 3-star hotel in Lekki Phase 1, scored for what it is.

The Dover is a straightforward 3-star in Lekki Phase 1, best approached as a convenient base rather than a polished retreat. Its location near Admiralty Way’s shops and restaurants is a draw, and staff friendliness earns praise across sources. Google’s overall rating is solid; Tripadvisor’s August 2025 guest also praised clean rooms, food and prompt service. Expedia lists an outdoor pool, restaurant and free parking, making this a reasonable option for short work trips.

The compromise is less consistent room condition: guest accounts include dated furnishings and maintenance concerns, while Google flags bathroom dissatisfaction. Much of the detailed feedback is old or undated, so evidence of today’s room standard is limited. Confirm your room’s condition and breakfast inclusion before booking. We’d skip it if you want reliably modern finishes or need dependable step-free access.

• Best for: short business stays in Lekki; travelers prioritizing nearby shops and restaurants

• Watch out for: dated-room and bathroom complaints; limited recent detailed feedback; no dependable elevator access

• Location: Convenient Lekki Phase 1 address off Admiralty Way, near shops and dining.

• Rooms: Guest reports mix comfortable, spacious rooms with dated furnishings and maintenance concerns.

• Cleanliness: The August 2025 Tripadvisor review praises cleanliness; recent detailed evidence is sparse.

• Service: Courteous, helpful staff are a recurring strength across guest accounts.

• Amenities: Expedia lists an outdoor pool, restaurant, bar, free Wi-Fi and free parking.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast listings conflict; confirm inclusion, and check accessibility because Expedia lists no elevators.
