Axel's take: 7.9/10

A solid Ikeja base whose clean rooms and helpful staff are the main draw. a practical 3-star business hotel off Allen Avenue in Ikeja, scored for what it is.

The Dover is a practical 3-star business hotel off Allen Avenue, and we'd shortlist it for straightforward comfort rather than luxury. Recent Tripadvisor guests praise clean, adequately spacious rooms and courteous staff; Google's 4.1/5 overall rating supports the broadly positive picture. It's a sensible base for work in Ikeja, with a pool, restaurant and free parking adding useful extras.

The trade-offs are functional accommodation and some booking details worth checking. One 2026 guest found the food selection limited, while Expedia lists no elevators and a check-in cutoff despite a 24-hour desk. Breakfast inclusions also differ between booking sites. We'd skip it if step-free access or luxury-level polish is essential; otherwise, it looks like a dependable short-stay option. Recent independent written reviews remain relatively sparse.
