Axel's take: 7.0/10

A practical Lekki base, but don't book it expecting five-star polish. a simple, budget-oriented hotel in Lekki Phase 1, scored for what it is.

Esporta Suites is a simple, budget-oriented Lekki hotel, not a convincing five-star option. We'd consider it for a short stay when location and basic facilities matter more than polish. Guest comments often praise the grilled fish, poolside setting and welcoming staff; Expedia lists breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking as included. The overall picture is respectable rather than exceptional: Google's reported rating is 3.8/5, while Hotels.ng shows 6.4/10.

The main reservation is consistency. Older guests describe maintenance problems, uneven housekeeping and slow service, although a March 2025 Hotels.ng reviewer was enthusiastic. Recent, detailed room reviews are limited, and Expedia's two positive reviews date to 2019–2020. We'd confirm the room's condition, working air-conditioning and pool availability before committing. Skip it if you need reliably polished rooms or luxury-level service.

• Best for: budget-conscious short stays; travelers with plans around Lekki Phase 1; guests who enjoy a casual bar-and-grill setting

• Watch out for: limited recent room-review evidence; older maintenance and housekeeping complaints; star ratings overstate the likely experience

• Location: At Admiral Ayinla Way near Ikate roundabout, with Nike Art Gallery nearby.

• Rooms: Basic air-conditioned rooms; older feedback raises maintenance concerns, so request current room photos.

• Cleanliness: Mixed historical feedback; too little recent detail to establish today's consistency.

• Service: Friendly staff receive praise, but older guests also describe slow responses and uneven service.

• Amenities: Booking listings advertise a pool, restaurant, bar, free Wi-Fi and included continental breakfast.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists free self-parking; confirm breakfast coverage, deposits and pool operation directly.
