Axel's take: 7.5/10

A reasonable Ikeja base with a stronger social scene than hotel credentials. a casual 3-star hotel with a lively bar in Ikeja GRA, scored for what it is.

Esporta is a casual 3-star hotel in Ikeja GRA, not the five-star property some catalogs suggest. We'd consider it for a short mainland stay if an outdoor pool, restaurant and lively evening atmosphere matter more than luxury. Google's overall rating is positive, though many written reviews concern meals and entertainment rather than overnight stays. Food and the outdoor gathering space are its clearest strengths; Expedia also lists breakfast and parking as included.

The accommodation evidence is thinner. A July 2025 Hotels.ng guest found the rooms tight compared with the photos, while another recent reviewer reported noise and slow Wi-Fi. Live-band evenings make a quiet-room request sensible, and Expedia lists no elevator. We'd skip it for a silence-first stay or dependable business connectivity, and confirm the room category before booking.

• Best for: short stays around Ikeja; travelers who enjoy live music; guests wanting on-site dining

• Watch out for: live music and possible room noise; rooms may feel smaller than photos suggest; no elevator listed

• Location: Ikeja GRA address suits mainland plans; allow for traffic when arranging airport transfers.

• Rooms: A July 2025 guest describes tight rooms; confirm the category and request distance from entertainment.

• Cleanliness: Some positive feedback, but recent overnight reports are too limited to establish consistent standards.

• Service: Dining feedback includes attentive staff and slow service; hotel-specific evidence is limited.

• Amenities: Expedia lists an outdoor pool, restaurant, bar, free Wi-Fi and included English breakfast.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists free parking and possible incidental deposits; both official website addresses were inaccessible during research.
