Axel's take: 8.1/10

A promising Ikeja base for space and service, with dated guest evidence. a mid-range apartment hotel in Ikeja, scored for what it is.

Apartment Royale is a mid-range apartment hotel in Ikeja, offering conventional rooms alongside larger, kitchen-equipped apartments. We'd shortlist it for family visits and longer mainland stays rather than luxury. Tripadvisor and Hotels.ng guests repeatedly praise welcoming staff, spacious accommodation and cleanliness, while Google and KAYAK show broadly positive overall ratings. The official site confirms an outdoor pool, gym, games room and restaurant: useful extras for spending time on the property.

The reservation is how little recent, detailed guest feedback is accessible: the readable Tripadvisor and Expedia accounts date to 2021–2022. Older reviews flag unreliable Wi-Fi and occasional slow meals, so dependable remote working needs checking rather than assuming. Confirm your exact room layout and kitchen access before booking. We'd skip it if you need recently verified standards or consistently reliable internet.

• Best for: families needing apartment space; longer mainland stays; travelers with plans in Ikeja

• Watch out for: Limited recent detailed guest feedback; Older complaints about unreliable Wi-Fi; Confirm room layout and kitchen access

• Location: Opebi, Ikeja: a practical mainland base near Allen Avenue.

• Rooms: Rooms and multi-bedroom apartments; older guests often praise the space and comfort.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised across readable guest accounts, although those accounts are mostly older.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are the clearest recurring strength; older reviews sometimes mention slow meals.

• Amenities: Officially lists an outdoor pool, gym, games room, restaurant and complimentary Wi-Fi.

• Fees and surprises: A reservation deposit is required; parking is advertised free, but the hotel's terms allow charges—confirm directly.
