#7 of 9 hotels in Kleparz & Main Station by Axel's take. Kleparz & Main Station is #4 of 7 places to stay in Krakow. The best hotels in Kleparz & Main Station, ranked · Where to stay in Krakow

Axel's take: 8.2/10

A strong budget base for train arrivals, provided you can travel light. a no-frills 1-star beside Kraków’s main railway station, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 1-star gets the budget essentials largely right: clean rooms, convenient transport and good value. Beside Kraków Główny and Galeria Krakowska, it puts the Old Town within roughly 15–20 minutes’ walk. Recent Expedia, Tripadvisor and Accor guests repeatedly praise cleanliness, while staff feedback is mostly positive, though not uniformly warm. It’s a strong pick for a short sightseeing break or an overnight between trains.

The compromise is space and privacy. Rooms are tiny, storage is limited, and the shower opens directly into the sleeping area—awkward for friends sharing. Some guests report traffic or station noise, although others sleep undisturbed. Breakfast is basic and costs extra unless included in your booking; parking is charged too. We’d skip it for a longer stay with large suitcases, or if bathroom privacy matters.

  • Best for: solo travelers on a budget; short sightseeing breaks; rail and bus arrivals

  • Watch out for: tiny rooms and limited luggage space; shower opens into the sleeping area; possible traffic and station noise

  • Location: Excellent for the station and shopping; roughly 15–20 minutes on foot to the main square.

  • Rooms: Compact and functional, with little storage and a shower layout that limits privacy.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent reviews, despite occasional individual complaints.

  • Service: Usually helpful and efficient, with some recent reports of brusque reception service.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, 24-hour reception, luggage storage and a paid breakfast buffet.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and pets incur charges; breakfast is extra unless included, and kettles are not standard.
