#1 of 9 hotels in Old Town by Axel's take. Old Town is #1 of 7 places to stay in Krakow. The best hotels in Old Town, ranked · Where to stay in Krakow

Axel's take: 9.3/10

Historic character, consistently strong service and a standout Old Town location. A restored historic 5-star hotel in Krakow’s Old Town, scored for what it is.

Hotel Saski is a restored historic 5-star just off Krakow’s Main Market Square, and it largely delivers on its luxury billing. Recent Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the cleanliness, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and generous breakfast. The restoration combines historic details with contemporary, music-inspired interiors, while the indoor pool and spa give it substance beyond a handsome address. It’s a strong pick for a special city break built around exploring on foot.

The practical compromises are mainly about extras and arrival logistics: breakfast is not included with every booking, valet parking costs extra, and Hilton lists no self-parking. Drivers should arrange arrival with the hotel rather than expect straightforward parking. We'd skip it if easy car access matters more than being steps from the square.

  • Best for: Couples on a special city break; First-time visitors exploring on foot; Travelers wanting a pool and spa

  • Watch out for: No self-parking; paid valet available; Breakfast inclusion depends on booking; Pet stays carry an additional fee

  • Location: Just off Main Market Square, with Old Town sights and restaurants easily walkable.

  • Rooms: Contemporary, music-inspired interiors; guests repeatedly praise comfortable beds and well-kept bathrooms.

  • Cleanliness: A particular strength across recent guest feedback and aggregate ratings.

  • Service: Consistently praised for friendly, helpful staff and thoughtful assistance.

  • Amenities: Indoor pool, spa, saunas, gym, restaurant and bar; Hilton also lists a casino.

  • Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion; valet parking and pets cost extra, and self-parking is unavailable.
