Hotels in IslamoradaA simple, motel-style waterfront resort with a marina
7.3/10
A practical boating base with helpful staff, but uneven upkeep and limited beach appeal.
Hadley is a simple, motel-style waterfront resort, not a full-service beach retreat. We'd choose it for a boating-focused Islamorada trip: the marina, boat ramp and trailer parking are genuinely useful, and some suites add kitchens and generous living space. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, ocean views and the convenient location near restaurants. The outdoor pool, grab-and-go breakfast, kayaks and paddleboards round out a practical stay.
The compromise is consistency. Plenty of recent guests describe clean, comfortable rooms, but others flag tired bathrooms, furnishings and housekeeping lapses. Highway-facing rooms can be noisy, and the small waterfront lounging area isn't the sandy swimming beach some travelers expect. A daily destination fee applies, with boating facilities charged separately. We'd skip it for a polished resort vacation; it makes more sense for travelers spending their days on the water.

Best for: boaters bringing their own boat; families wanting kitchen-equipped suites; travelers exploring Islamorada
Watch out for: uneven room upkeep and housekeeping; highway noise in front-facing rooms; limited swimming-beach appeal
Location: Central Islamorada waterfront, close to restaurants and breweries, but directly on Overseas Highway.
Rooms: Standard rooms and larger suites; ocean views appeal, while furnishings and bathroom condition vary.
Cleanliness: Recent praise outweighs complaints, but deeper-cleaning and housekeeping lapses still appear.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff are the most consistent strength across guest-review sites.
Amenities: Outdoor pool, grab-and-go breakfast, paddle gear and marina; beach space is mainly for lounging.
Fees and surprises: Daily destination fee; additional boating and pet charges apply.
