Axel's take: 8.5/10
A strong downtown choice for comfortable rooms, helpful staff and easy convention access. a full-service 4-star convention hotel in downtown Indianapolis, scored for what it is.
The Westin Indianapolis is a full-service 4-star convention hotel, and we'd put it high on the list for a downtown work trip or event weekend. The convention-center skywalk is the practical draw; clean, comfortable rooms and consistently helpful staff make it more than just convenient. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the welcome, housekeeping and beds. The gym, Ten Hands restaurant and coffee market round out a dependable city base.
The trade-offs are expensive parking, pricey on-site food and occasional reports of hallway noise. There's no pool—the former one became fitness space—so we'd skip it if swimming is essential. Nearby Signia hotel and Indiana Convention Center expansion construction remains underway in October 2026; check access arrangements before arrival. It's strongest for travelers prioritizing location and comfort over resort-style amenities.
