Axel's take: 5.2/10

Begumpet convenience cannot make up for unreliable housekeeping and maintenance. an aging full-service 4-star in Begumpet, scored for what it is.

The Manohar is an aging full-service 4-star in Begumpet whose location and room sizes are stronger than its consistency. Tripadvisor guests often praise helpful staff and spacious accommodation, and the hotel advertises newly renovated Executive rooms and Lifestyle suites. There is a pool, gym, spa and several dining options, but we'd treat it as a location-first compromise rather than a dependable upscale stay.

The concern is more than dated decor: recent Tripadvisor and MakeMyTrip guests repeatedly describe dirty bathrooms, unpleasant smells, faulty air-conditioning and slow responses; several report cockroaches. Booking.com and Expedia's weak overall ratings reinforce that caution, despite much warmer feedback on Tripadvisor. If you book, confirm the exact renovated category and breakfast inclusion. We'd skip it for a special occasion or whenever reliable cleanliness matters more than the address.

• Best for: short stays centered on Begumpet; travelers willing to confirm a renovated room

• Watch out for: recurring cleanliness and pest reports; uneven room condition and air-conditioning; slow or inconsistent service

• Location: Convenient for Begumpet and nearby metro access; this is beside the old airport, not Rajiv Gandhi International.

• Rooms: Spacious but unevenly maintained; the official site identifies Executive rooms and Lifestyle suites as newly renovated.

• Cleanliness: Repeated 2026 reports of dirty bathrooms, odors and pests make housekeeping a substantial concern.

• Service: Some staff earn enthusiastic praise, but delays and poor complaint handling recur across guest accounts.

• Amenities: The hotel lists a swimming pool, gym, spa, restaurants, free Wi-Fi and free parking.

• Fees and surprises: Confirm breakfast inclusion and extra-person charges; early check-in, late checkout and rollaway beds can cost extra.
