Hotels in Hood RiverAn independent 3-star condo-style hotel overlooking the Columbia River Gorge
8.8/10
A strong Gorge getaway, especially in a river-view suite, but choose your room carefully.
Columbia Cliff Villas is an independent 3-star condo-style hotel whose cliffside setting and well-kept accommodations make it a strong Hood River base. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise spotless rooms, helpful staff and comfortable furnishings. The larger villas are the draw: full kitchens, living areas and, depending on the category, fireplaces, soaking tubs and river-view decks. We'd pick it for a couples' getaway or a family trip with room to spread out.
Room selection matters here. Some smaller rooms overlook the courtyard or highway rather than the Gorge, and freeway and train noise recur in reviews, though many guests sleep comfortably. Certain categories require stairs. There's no restaurant or bar on site, but the neighboring Columbia Gorge Hotel offers dining. We'd skip it for a walk-everywhere downtown stay or if absolute nighttime quiet is essential.
