Axel's take: 8.8/10

Page148 is a strong Kowloon base for clean rooms, thoughtful design and friendly service. a modern 4-star boutique hotel between Jordan and Tsim Sha Tsui, scored for what it is.

Page148 is a modern 4-star boutique hotel that gets the city-break essentials right. We'd choose it for its bright, well-designed rooms, greenery views toward Kowloon Cricket Club and convenient base between Jordan and Tsim Sha Tsui. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise cleanliness and helpful staff; Booking.com feedback backs up the comfortable beds and appealing design. The Page Common coffeehouse gives the lobby somewhere worth lingering, rather than just passing through.

The main compromise is space: rooms can feel tight, especially with two travelers' luggage. Jordan MTR is roughly five to eight minutes away on foot, not directly downstairs. Check your breakfast package, too: some guests describe a light pastry-and-coffee offering rather than a substantial meal. It's a strong pick for exploring Kowloon; we'd look elsewhere for sprawling rooms or a full-service luxury experience.

• Best for: couples on a Kowloon city break; solo travelers who appreciate good design; sightseers using public transport

• Watch out for: compact rooms with limited luggage space; a short walk to the MTR; breakfast inclusions vary by package

• Location: Between Jordan and Tsim Sha Tsui, roughly five to eight minutes' walk from Jordan MTR.

• Rooms: Bright, modern rooms with greenery views; comfortable beds earn praise, but space can be tight.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent Tripadvisor, Expedia and Booking.com feedback.

• Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise friendly, helpful reception staff.

• Amenities: Page Common café, free Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping and a 24-hour front desk.

• Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusions and whether service charges and accommodation tax are included in your total.
