Axel's take: 8.4/10

A strong transport base with roomy accommodation, helpful staff and older interiors. a practical 4-star opposite Tin Hau MTR, scored for what it is.

Nina Hotel Causeway Bay is a practical 4-star in Tin Hau, rather than the heart of Causeway Bay’s shopping streets. We’d pick it for easy sightseeing and comfortable space: the hotel lists rooms starting at 26 square metres, and Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the location, cleanliness and helpful staff. It’s a strong choice if convenience matters more than fashionable interiors.

The trade-off is age: rooms look older, and some guests find the narrow bathtub-shower combinations awkward. This is comfortable mid-range accommodation, not a polished luxury stay. Crucially, the hotel currently lists its rooftop swimming pool as closed for winter, with its published 2026 season ending October 15. We’d skip it if swimming is essential or you want a freshly redesigned hotel.

• Best for: sightseers using public transport; families wanting connecting rooms; travelers prioritizing space over style

• Watch out for: rooftop pool currently closed for winter; older room interiors; narrow bathtub-shower combinations

• Location: Opposite Tin Hau MTR, near Victoria Park and plentiful local restaurants.

• Rooms: Rooms start at 26 square metres; connecting options available, but interiors show their age.

• Cleanliness: Strong recent feedback across sites, with Booking.com cleanliness rated 8.9/10.

• Service: Helpful staff and attentive housekeeping are recurring strengths in recent reviews.

• Amenities: Restaurants, patisserie and a 24-hour gym; rooftop pool currently closed for winter.

• Fees and surprises: Extra beds incur a charge; an incidental deposit may be required at check-in.
