Axel's take: 7.4/10

Choose it for family-sized suites and harbour views, not polished four-star interiors. a practical 4-star apartment-style hotel on the Hung Hom waterfront, scored for what it is.

Kowloon Harbourfront is a practical 4-star apartment-style hotel whose strongest selling point is space: every suite has two bedrooms and a separate living area. We'd shortlist it for families who value spreading out over stylish surroundings, especially in a harbour-view suite. Recent guests frequently praise the room size, housekeeping and helpful staff; Booking.com and Expedia ratings suggest a generally good rather than standout stay.

The compromises are dated furnishings, recurring complaints about very hard beds, and a waterfront setting outside Tsim Sha Tsui's busiest streets. The free shuttle helps, while Hung Hom MTR is roughly ten minutes away on foot. The hotel lists a November–March pool closure, a 6 p.m. closing time in season, and an unspecified temporary closure notice for some facilities. Confirm access before booking. We'd skip it if modern rooms or dependable resort-style amenities matter most.

• Best for: families needing separate bedrooms; small groups prioritizing space; travelers seeking harbour views

• Watch out for: dated interiors and very firm beds; seasonal pool and unclear facility closures; outside central Tsim Sha Tsui

• Location: Hung Hom waterfront, roughly ten minutes from the MTR; free scheduled shuttle to Tsim Sha Tsui.

• Rooms: Two-bedroom suites of 647 square feet; generous living space, but furnishings and beds draw criticism.

• Cleanliness: Generally a strength, with recent guests repeatedly praising clean rooms and daily housekeeping.

• Service: Recent feedback leans positive for helpful reception, concierge and housekeeping staff.

• Amenities: Kitchenettes, gym and children's playroom are listed; pool closes November–March and at 6 p.m. when operating.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast and parking cost extra; confirm kitchenette equipment and which facilities are temporarily closed.
