Axel's take: 8.3/10

A dependable suburban base with standout staff, but some rooms carry noise. a practical suburban 3-star near Westfarms Mall, scored for what it is.

This suburban 3-star near Westfarms Mall is a strong pick for a straightforward Hartford-area stay, especially with a car. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean rooms and genuinely helpful staff, including recent reviews from summer and September 2026. It delivers the comfort and consistency we'd want from a Courtyard, rather than a particularly memorable setting. Free parking, an indoor pool, a gym and the breakfast-and-dinner Bistro round out the practical appeal.

The main compromise is sleep: several guests report sound traveling between rooms or floors, while others describe quiet stays; unsupportive pillows also recur. Light sleepers should request a top-floor room. Breakfast costs extra, and Marriott lists housekeeping every other day. We'd skip it for a car-free downtown break or if included breakfast is essential.

• Best for: business travelers with a car; Westfarms shopping trips; wedding and event groups

• Watch out for: sound between rooms and floors; breakfast costs extra; housekeeping every other day

• Location: Near Westfarms Mall, outside downtown Hartford; best approached as a driving base.

• Rooms: Generally comfortable and well equipped; noise transmission and soft pillows are recurring drawbacks.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Expedia, Booking.com and recent guest comments.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise, particularly for group stays.

• Amenities: Indoor pool, fitness center, laundry and a Bistro serving breakfast and dinner.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is complimentary; breakfast is not included, and routine housekeeping is every other day.
