Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong airport-side choice for clean, spacious suites, with patchy Wi-Fi the main drawback. A practical 3-star apartment hotel near La Aurora airport, scored for what it is.

Suites Terraza Imperial is a practical 3-star apartment hotel in Zona 13, and we'd pick it for an airport stopover or a longer, self-catering stay. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the cleanliness, generous room sizes and well-equipped kitchens. Nearby shops and restaurants make those kitchens useful, while free parking and the rooftop terrace add to its appeal. This is comfortable, functional accommodation rather than a full-service hotel.

The main compromise is consistency beyond the room: recent guests report unreliable Wi-Fi, and reception gets both warm praise and complaints about unhelpfulness or slow check-in. Some guests also mention nighttime noise, so light sleepers should request a room away from the elevator. We'd skip it for work that depends on reliable internet; otherwise, it delivers very well for its class.

• Best for: Airport stopovers; Self-catering stays; Travelers wanting space and parking

• Watch out for: Unreliable Wi-Fi; Uneven reception service; Some nighttime noise

• Location: Zona 13 near La Aurora airport, with shops and restaurants within walking distance; allow for traffic.

• Rooms: Spacious, air-conditioned suites with equipped kitchens; some guests report noise near the elevator.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com and recent Expedia reviews.

• Service: Often praised, but recurring complaints concern reception helpfulness and check-in efficiency.

• Amenities: Rooftop terrace, outdoor gym, free parking and in-room kitchens; do not assume breakfast service.

• Fees and surprises: Booking.com lists a refundable damage deposit and possible early-arrival or late-departure charges; airport transport costs extra.
