Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong Zona Viva base, especially for dining, with occasional service lapses. a full-service 5-star business hotel in Zona Viva, scored for what it is.

This full-service 5-star in Zona Viva is a strong pick for business trips or a comfortable city stopover. Its biggest strengths are the dining options, comfortable beds and convenient setting near restaurants and shopping. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the food and helpful staff, while Booking.com’s strong comfort and cleanliness scores reinforce the positive picture. A heated outdoor pool, spa and gym round out the package.

The caveat is consistency rather than a shortage of facilities. Recent reviews across several sites describe occasional front-desk mistakes, slow responses to requests and uneven housekeeping; some Booking.com guests also find the rooms tired for the luxury positioning. These are minority reports, but worth weighing at this level. We’d choose it for convenience and facilities, not if flawless service or boutique character tops your list.

• Best for: business travelers; city stopovers with pool time; travelers who like dining on-site

• Watch out for: occasional front-desk and request-handling lapses; some reports of tired rooms and uneven housekeeping; breakfast and airport transfers may cost extra

• Location: Zona Viva setting convenient for nearby restaurants, shopping and business appointments.

• Rooms: Comfort scores are strong and beds earn praise; some guests report dated finishes.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings, with a minority of recent complaints about room-cleaning details.

• Service: Staff receive considerable praise, although front-desk problem handling is less consistent.

• Amenities: Heated outdoor pool, spa, gym and several dining venues; IHG confirms an outdoor pool, not an indoor one.

• Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusions and transfer charges; IHG lists paid self-parking despite some booking listings showing it included.
