Axel's take: 8.2/10

A practical Zona 10 base with welcoming staff, good breakfast and some dated edges. A straightforward 3-star suite hotel in Zona 10, scored for what it is.

Hotel Santander Plaza is a straightforward 3-star suite hotel in Zona 10, and we'd pick it for practical comfort rather than stylish surroundings. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, cleanliness and included breakfast. Roomy suites and kitchenette options make it useful for longer visits, while nearby restaurants and shops give you plenty within walking distance. It's a strong choice for travelers who put space and convenience ahead of polish.

The trade-offs are dated interiors and traffic noise: recent guests still mention bathrooms and furnishings needing attention, even alongside positive reports about upkeep. Confirm airport transfers directly; guests report limited free hours and no complimentary weekend service. We'd skip it if you're a light sleeper or want a consistently modern hotel, but otherwise it delivers well for its class.

• Best for: Business travelers prioritizing Zona 10; Longer stays needing a kitchenette; Travelers who value breakfast and helpful service

• Watch out for: Traffic noise in some rooms; Dated interiors and bathroom fittings; Restricted complimentary airport shuttle

• Location: Convenient Zona 10 setting with restaurants and shops within walking distance.

• Rooms: Generally spacious suites; kitchenettes available, but decor and bathroom condition vary.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com and recent Expedia guest reviews.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming staff earn repeated praise, particularly at breakfast.

• Amenities: Included à-la-carte breakfast, free Wi-Fi and parking; select rooms have kitchen facilities.

• Fees and surprises: Confirm shuttle hours, weekend availability and any transfer charge; pets carry an extra fee.
