Axel's take: 8.2/10

Comfortable rooms and good value, but passing trains can spoil the night. an independent mid-range hotel with gardens and a pool near La Minerva, scored for what it is.

Ronda Minerva is an independent mid-range hotel near La Minerva, with spacious rooms, leafy grounds and more facilities than a basic city stay. It's a strong pick for comfort and value: Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. The outdoor pool, Al Edén restaurant and small gym make it practical for families and longer visits, too.

The main catch is the railway beside the hotel. Guests across several sites report loud horns overnight; we'd skip it if you're a light sleeper. Parking is free but can be tight, and Wi-Fi earns weaker feedback than the rooms. Pool construction affected stays in 2025, but guests praise the working pool in September and October 2026. Choose it for space and facilities, not guaranteed quiet or a historic-center doorstep.

• Best for: value-minded families; travelers visiting the Minerva area; longer stays with pool time

• Watch out for: loud overnight train horns; limited parking space; uneven Wi-Fi

• Location: Near La Minerva and convenient for west-side destinations; not in the historic center.

• Rooms: Spacious, comfortable rooms draw strong praise, but railway noise can interrupt sleep.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall cleanliness ratings, reinforced by recent guest feedback.

• Service: Generally friendly and helpful, with occasional complaints about reception.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, gardens, Al Edén restaurant and a basic gym; recent guests confirm pool use.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is free but limited; laundry costs extra, and breakfast inclusion depends on the booking.
