Axel's take: 7.8/10

A practical pick for spacious suites and location, provided you can live without air-conditioning. a budget apartment-style hotel in Colonia Americana, scored for what it is.

Hotel Suites Bernini is a budget apartment-style hotel in Colonia Americana, and we'd choose it for space and convenience rather than polish. Kitchens and living/dining areas make the suites useful for longer stays. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the roomy accommodation, cleanliness and helpful staff; the nearby CAS visa application center is another recurring reason people book. It's good value if those practical advantages matter most.

The catch is an aging property with uneven upkeep. Recent Expedia guests mention worn rooms and maintenance needs, and air-conditioning is absent—a meaningful drawback in warm weather. Free parking helps, but spaces are limited and guests describe tight maneuvering. We'd skip it if cooling or consistently modern finishes are priorities; travelers needing step-free access should confirm the entrance arrangements before booking.

• Best for: CAS appointment visitors; budget-conscious longer stays; travelers wanting kitchen facilities

• Watch out for: No air-conditioning; Dated rooms and uneven maintenance; Limited, tight parking

• Location: Well-rated Colonia Americana location, with restaurants nearby and a short walk to the CAS.

• Rooms: Spacious apartment-style suites with kitchens and living/dining areas; condition varies.

• Cleanliness: Recent Booking.com and Expedia feedback is predominantly positive about room cleanliness.

• Service: Helpful, attentive staff are a repeated strength; reception operates around the clock.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, kitchen facilities, laundry facilities and an elevator cover the practical basics.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is free but limited; pets and late checkout incur charges, and step-free entry needs confirmation.
