Axel's take: 8.0/10

Strong downtown value, but recurring water complaints deserve attention. a practical, value-focused 3-star in Guadalajara’s historic center, scored for what it is.

Hotel Dali Ejecutivo is a practical 3-star downtown base, best chosen for sightseeing rather than hotel lounging. We'd shortlist it for its walkable location near the cathedral, generally clean rooms and good value. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, and the restaurant, gym and included parking make it useful beyond a basic overnight stop.

The reservation is plumbing: several 2026 Expedia and Tripadvisor guests report unpleasant-smelling or discolored water, with some describing outages. Those reports matter despite the otherwise strong guest ratings; ask whether the problems have been resolved before booking. Beds lean firm, and some standard rooms advertised as “no view” are described by guests as windowless. We'd skip it if you need a soft mattress, guaranteed daylight or greater confidence in the bathroom basics.

• Best for: value-minded city sightseers; short downtown stays; travelers bringing a car

• Watch out for: recurring water odor and supply complaints; firm mattresses; some no-view rooms reportedly lack windows

• Location: Central, with the cathedral and historic-center attractions within walking distance.

• Rooms: Air-conditioned and practical; firm beds and potentially windowless standard rooms warrant checking.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall housekeeping feedback, separate from recurring complaints about water odor and discoloration.

• Service: Usually praised as friendly and helpful, though problem handling receives some criticism.

• Amenities: Restaurant, gym, free Wi-Fi and included parking; breakfast is available.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast normally costs extra; confirm room windows and whether reported plumbing issues have been resolved.
