Axel's take: 8.3/10

A dependable Expo base where helpful staff outshine the aging rooms. a mid-range business hotel near Expo Guadalajara, scored for what it is.

Fiesta Inn Guadalajara Expo is a mid-range business hotel we'd pick for convention convenience rather than style. Expo Guadalajara and Plaza del Sol are within walking distance, and Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming, helpful staff. Overall guest ratings are strong across several sites, with cleanliness generally well regarded. An outdoor pool, gym, restaurant and free parking make it a practical, well-rounded base.

The trade-off is an older property whose rooms don't consistently match the service. Some guests mention worn or rough towels and dated fittings; noise also crops up, so light sleepers should request a quieter room facing the parking lot. Buffet breakfast costs extra unless included in your booking. It's a strong pick for Expo visitors who prioritize friendly service and convenience; we'd skip it for a design-led getaway or a stay centered on the historic district.

• Best for: Expo convention attendees; business travelers; travelers wanting free parking

• Watch out for: Aging rooms and worn towels; Some room noise; Breakfast not automatically included

• Location: Walkable to Expo Guadalajara, Plaza del Sol and nearby dining; not a historic-center base.

• Rooms: Generally comfortable but older; a parking-lot-facing room is worth requesting for quieter sleep.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive across booking sites, with occasional complaints about tired linens.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming staff are the most consistent strength across review sites.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, gym, restaurant, free Wi-Fi, business facilities and 24-hour room service.

• Fees and surprises: Guest parking is free; buffet breakfast is extra unless your booking includes it.
