This Wingate is a budget motel across Seawall Boulevard from the beach, not a full-service beachfront resort. The location is its strongest asset, with easy beach access and Pleasure Pier about a mile away. Wyndham advertises free breakfast, a seasonal outdoor pool and rooms with microwaves and mini-fridges. Some guests report clean beds and helpful staff, but we'd choose another property: the overall feedback is weak even against basic motel expectations.
Recent Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly describe dirty rooms, missing towels, worn fittings and unhelpful problem handling; roaches also appear in multiple recent reports. The outdoor pool draws recurring complaints about green water, with August 2026 Tripadvisor guests reporting closure. Parking costs extra, and breakfast is basic.
