6.7/10
Beach access and friendly staff help, but uneven upkeep keeps this a cautious pick.
Beachfront Palms is a budget 3-star with exterior corridors, not a full-service beachfront resort. Now part of Choice’s Ascend Collection, it earns its strongest marks for the Seawall location, friendly staff and included hot breakfast. The beach is across the road, restaurants are walkable, and the courtyard pool adds appeal. Recent Expedia reviews are notably positive, making it a reasonable option for a short, location-first stay.
The catch is consistency. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests still report dirty or musty rooms and maintenance shortcomings alongside clean, comfortable stays. Renovation claims also need caution: despite marketing describing the property as renovated, an October 6, 2026 Expedia review reports ongoing room construction and evening work noise. We'd skip it for a polished resort vacation or if dependable cleanliness matters more than beach access.

Best for: budget-minded beach visitors; short, location-first stays; cruise travelers with their own transport
Watch out for: uneven housekeeping and room condition; recent renovation work and evening noise; beach access requires crossing Seawall Boulevard
Location: Across Seawall Boulevard from the beach, with restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance.
Rooms: Exterior-corridor rooms with microwaves and minifridges; condition varies, and balconies are shared walkways.
Cleanliness: Many recent guests praise clean rooms, but recurring dirty-room, mustiness and bathroom complaints remain.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength; housekeeping follow-through is less reliable.
Amenities: Free hot breakfast, outdoor pool and access to the indoor pool at Quality Inn next door; no hot tub.
Fees and surprises: Stay parking is free; cruise parking costs extra with no terminal shuttle, and dog fees and deposits apply—confirm conflicting pet policies.
