Axel's take: 8.9/10
A strong Gainesville pick for spacious suites, helpful staff and practical extras. A 3-star extended-stay suite hotel by I-75, scored for what it is.
This 3-star extended-stay hotel by I-75 is a strong pick for families and longer Gainesville visits. Tripadvisor and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise spacious, well-equipped suites, cleanliness and friendly staff. Full kitchens, included hot breakfast and Monday–Wednesday evening socials make it good value for travelers who will use them. The outdoor pool, hot tub and substantial gym add more than the basics.
The main compromises are location and housekeeping: this is a shopping-and-highway base, not a campus or downtown address, and IHG specifies periodic light cleaning rather than daily service. The pool courtyard is shared with the neighboring Holiday Inn Express and can get busy. We'd skip it for a car-free campus visit or if daily room servicing matters more than kitchen space.
-

-
Watch out for: Housekeeping is not daily; Shared pool courtyard can get busy; Not a campus or downtown location
-
Location: Convenient for I-75, Butler Plaza shopping and restaurants; plan to drive to campus.
-
Rooms: Spacious studios and larger suites with full kitchens; check bed configurations carefully.
-
Cleanliness: Strong praise across major sites outweighs scattered complaints about odors and wear.
-
Service: Recent Tripadvisor and Booking.com feedback strongly favors the friendly, helpful staff.
-

-
Fees and surprises: Parking is complimentary; dogs incur a cleaning fee and cannot be left unattended.
