Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong Ostend base with spacious rooms, helpful staff and easy tram connections. a modern 4-star business hotel in Frankfurt’s Ostend, scored for what it is.

This modern 4-star in Frankfurt’s Ostend is a strong pick for business trips or city breaks if you prefer room comfort over an old-town doorstep. Recent Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the clean, generously sized rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff. Breakfast earns plenty of approval, and complimentary minibar drinks are a welcome extra. The tram outside and nearby U-Bahn make the location practical rather than remote.

The trade-offs are mostly about preferences and extras: open-plan bathroom layouts will not suit every room-sharing arrangement, and parking and breakfast can add to the bill. For the best chance of quiet, request an inward-facing room. We’d choose it for a comfortable, well-connected stay, but skip it if historic surroundings and the main sights immediately outside matter most.

• Best for: business travelers visiting the ECB; couples on city breaks; travelers prioritizing spacious rooms

• Watch out for: open-plan bathroom layouts; parking and breakfast cost extra; inward-facing rooms are quieter

• Location: Near the ECB and Main, with a tram stop outside and U-Bahn nearby; outside the old-town core.

• Rooms: Standard rooms are 25 m², with modern furnishings, rainfall showers and complimentary minibar drinks.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and recent Tripadvisor guest feedback.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff receive repeated praise, especially at reception.

• Amenities: Restaurant, bar, terrace, gym and sauna; breakfast is widely praised.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and breakfast are extra unless included in your booking; Expedia lists a cashless policy.
