Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong south-side choice for clean rooms, friendly staff and easy parking. A comfortable 3-star business and events hotel in south Edmonton, scored for what it is.

This 3-star business and events hotel is a strong pick if you're driving into Edmonton or attending something at Evario Events Centre. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness, comfortable beds and helpful staff; recent Expedia reviews also give the restaurant unusually good marks for a chain hotel. Free parking, an indoor pool and a gym make it a practical, good-value base rather than somewhere you book for character.

The trade-offs are mostly practical: this is a car-oriented south-side location, not a walk-out-the-door downtown stay. Breakfast isn't automatically included, there's no airport shuttle, and the pool has no hot tub. We'd choose it for south Edmonton shopping, work or events, but skip it for a car-free city break or resort-style facilities.

• Best for: Drivers visiting south Edmonton; Evario event attendees; Families wanting a pool

• Watch out for: Car-oriented location outside downtown; Breakfast not automatically included; No hot tub or airport shuttle

• Location: Practical for South Edmonton Common and highway access; less suited to exploring downtown on foot.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds are a consistent strength; expect straightforward chain-hotel rooms.

• Cleanliness: A standout across Booking.com scores and recent Expedia guest feedback.

• Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise friendly, helpful staff and efficient check-in.

• Amenities: Indoor heated pool, gym, restaurant and event centre; no hot tub.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is free; check breakfast inclusion. Pet-friendly rooms are limited, with a nightly fee and deposit.
