6.2/10
Helpful staff and convenient parking, but room comfort and upkeep are inconsistent.
Continental Inn & Suites is a basic, older 3-star in West Edmonton: a workable budget stop, not a dependable all-rounder. Free parking, an on-site restaurant and a short drive to West Edmonton Mall are its strongest practical advantages. Recent Expedia guests often praise helpful staff and spacious, clean rooms. The hotel now advertises Hotel Equities management and a refreshed Stardust Lounge, though that does not establish a full guest-room renovation.
The trade-off is inconsistency. Recent reviews across Hotels.com and Booking-derived listings mention overheated rooms, worn interiors and uneven housekeeping; some guests also report noise and feeling uncomfortable around the entrance. Plenty describe satisfactory stays, but these are recurring concerns rather than one-off gripes. We'd consider it for a short, budget-minded visit with a car, and skip it if reliable cleanliness, temperature control or a quiet atmosphere are priorities.

Best for: budget-minded travelers with a car; short West Edmonton shopping visits
Watch out for: overheated rooms and inconsistent temperature control; worn interiors and uneven housekeeping; noise and entrance-area concerns
Location: Convenient driving base for West Edmonton Mall; some guests feel uncomfortable around the entrance.
Rooms: Often spacious, but condition varies; excessive heat and noise recur in recent feedback.
Cleanliness: Many guests praise clean rooms, but recent bathroom and housekeeping complaints undermine consistency.
Service: Helpful front-desk staff are a frequent strength, although problem handling receives mixed feedback.
Amenities: Free parking and Wi-Fi, restaurant, guest laundry, and a lounge with VLTs and off-track betting.
Fees and surprises: Small pets incur a nightly fee and room restrictions; Expedia lists no cribs or rollaway beds.
