Axel's take: 9.1/10

A standout four-star for comfort and service, if you’re happy exploring on foot. a contemporary 4-star city hotel near St Patrick’s Cathedral, scored for what it is.

Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin is a contemporary four-star that gets the important things unusually right. We'd make it a strong pick for a sightseeing break: recent Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise spacious, clean rooms, comfortable beds and genuinely helpful staff. Breakfast earns particularly strong feedback, and the bar gives you somewhere convenient to unwind without heading into Temple Bar.

The compromise is being walkably central rather than right among the main shopping and nightlife streets; allow roughly 15–20 minutes for many central sights. Light sleepers should request a room away from the main road. Breakfast and parking can cost extra, and nearby Meath Street improvement works are scheduled into 2027, though hotel-room disruption isn't established. We'd skip it if doorstep nightlife matters more than room comfort.

• Best for: couples on sightseeing breaks; travelers who enjoy exploring on foot; business travelers prioritizing comfort

• Watch out for: some road-facing rooms can be noisy; breakfast and parking may cost extra; nearby Meath Street improvement works

• Location: Near St Patrick’s Cathedral; many central attractions are around 15–20 minutes away on foot.

• Rooms: Modern, generously sized rooms with comfortable beds; request a quieter aspect if sensitive to traffic.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across sources, with particularly high cleanliness ratings on Booking.com and Expedia.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff dominate recent feedback; occasional dining-service lapses are the exception.

• Amenities: Restaurant, bar, fitness center, free Wi-Fi and on-site parking with EV charging.

• Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion; parking is charged, and nearby Meath Street works are scheduled into 2027.
