Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong Dublin base with welcoming staff and a worthwhile pool, but warmer rooms. a full-service 4-star on Dublin’s lively Camden Street, scored for what it is.

Camden Court is a full-service 4-star that gets the important things right: clean, comfortable rooms, welcoming staff and a location handy for Dublin’s restaurants, pubs and sightseeing. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness and comfort, while recent reviews also single out the breakfast. The included health club—with a proper 16-metre pool, gym, sauna and steam room—makes this a particularly strong pick if you’ll actually use it.

The main compromise is sleep comfort. Several guests report overly warm rooms, and Tripadvisor reviews flag traffic and nightlife noise in street-facing rooms, although others find their rooms quiet. Request an inward-facing room and confirm cooling arrangements rather than assuming air conditioning. Parking costs extra and cannot be reserved. We’d choose it for an active city break, but look elsewhere if cool, reliably quiet nights are your priority.

  • Best for: city-break couples; families who want a pool; travelers who use the gym

  • Watch out for: rooms can feel too warm; street-facing rooms may be noisy; paid parking is not guaranteed

  • Location: Lively dining-and-pub neighborhood, walkable to St Stephen’s Green and convenient for the Luas.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds and good showers earn praise; overheating and street-facing noise are the recurring cautions.

  • Cleanliness: A clear strength across Booking.com ratings and recent Expedia guest reviews.

  • Service: Recent guests repeatedly describe friendly, helpful reception and restaurant staff.

  • Amenities: Complimentary health-club access includes a 16-metre indoor pool, children’s pool, gym, sauna and steam room.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking is charged and first-come, first-served; EV charging costs extra, and breakfast inclusion depends on your booking.
