#5 of 5 hotels in Bac My An Beach by Axel's take. Bac My An Beach is #4 of 6 places to stay in Da Nang. The best hotels in Bac My An Beach, ranked · Where to stay in Da Nang

Axel's take: 6.8/10

Generous rooms and helpful staff, but upkeep makes this a cautious budget pick. a budget hotel with studios near Da Nang’s beach district, scored for what it is.

Nostalgia DS, also sold as Nostalgia Boutique Hotel, is a budget hotel with spacious rooms and kitchenette-equipped studios in My An, within walking distance of the beach rather than directly on it. It can work for travelers prioritizing space and value: Booking.com’s overall rating remains solid, and guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and comfortable beds.

The catch is inconsistent upkeep. Tripadvisor reviews and guest accounts on Planet of Hotels describe recurring dust, bathroom mold, tired furnishings and rooms that look worse than the photographs, alongside genuinely positive stays. The indoor pool is more functional than inviting, and reports of unavailable breakfast and poor gym equipment make the amenity list worth checking directly. We’d consider it for a short, flexible budget stay, but skip it if reliable cleanliness or resort-style facilities are priorities.

Best for: budget travelers prioritizing room space; self-catering travelers choosing a studio
Watch out for: inconsistent cleaning and bathroom upkeep; pool and gym may disappoint; confirm breakfast availability before booking
Location: My An neighborhood near local shops and markets; walkable to the beach, but not beachfront.
Rooms: Spacious rooms and studios draw praise; wear, noise and air-conditioning problems appear in guest reports.
Cleanliness: Many guests report clean rooms, but repeated accounts of dust, mold and poor linen condition weaken confidence.
Service: Helpful reception staff are a recurring strength, although complaint handling receives mixed feedback.
Amenities: Indoor pool, Wi-Fi and parking are listed; guests question gym condition and food-service availability.
Fees and surprises: Breakfast and airport transfers may cost extra; confirm inclusions and the final tax-inclusive total.
