Hotels in Bangkoka budget party hostel near Khao San Road
7.8/10
Good for meeting backpackers, less convincing for sleep and smoke-sensitive travelers.
Oh Bangkok is a budget party hostel, not a conventional two-star hotel. It's a good pick for backpackers who want company and easy access to Khao San Road, roughly ten minutes away on foot. Booking.com and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff and value, while daily events, a café, coworking space and gym give it more than just beds.
The catch is its openly cannabis-friendly atmosphere. Guests across several sites mention smoke smells, and recent reviews also flag nighttime noise and uneven upkeep in shared spaces. Cleanliness feedback is mostly positive, but not consistent enough for an unqualified recommendation. The hostel advertises a separate non-smoking building: request it explicitly, though its bar still becomes a nighttime social hub. We'd skip this if undisturbed sleep or a reliably smoke-free environment matters most.
