A useful old-town budget base, but cleaning and comfort are inconsistent.
Pannee is a no-frills budget hotel near Khaosan Road, best treated as a practical sightseeing base rather than a dependable three-star stay. Recent Expedia, Tripadvisor and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the walkable location, nearby food and next-door convenience store. Air-conditioned rooms, refrigerators and free Wi-Fi cover the basics, and many travelers find it good value for a short visit. Expedia and Trip.com ratings are considerably stronger than Google and Tripadvisor's overall picture.
The trade-offs are real: multiple sites carry complaints about bathroom cleanliness, missed housekeeping, very hard mattresses and noise from neighboring rooms. Staff receive plenty of praise, but booking-handling problems also appear across sources; we'd reconfirm the reservation and payment terms before arrival. It's workable for flexible budget travelers. We'd skip it if reliable cleaning or uninterrupted sleep matters more than location.

Best for: budget travelers exploring old Bangkok; short stays near Khaosan Road; travelers prioritizing walkable food options
Watch out for: uneven bathroom cleaning and housekeeping; hard mattresses and neighboring-room noise; reconfirm reservations and payment terms
Location: Roughly a ten-minute walk to Khaosan Road, with food and a convenience store nearby.
Rooms: Basic air-conditioned rooms with refrigerators; hard beds and noise recur in guest feedback.
Cleanliness: Many guests report clean rooms, but bathroom cleanliness and missed servicing are repeated weaknesses.
Service: Often friendly, though reservation handling and problem resolution draw inconsistent feedback.
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, TVs and 24-hour reception; OYO advertises daily housekeeping, but delivery varies.
Fees and surprises: A deposit may be required; confirm payment conditions directly after reports of canceled bookings.
