Axel's take: 8.1/10
A comfortable Tokyo base with strong service, but choose your room carefully. a traditional five-star hotel in quiet, residential Shirokanedai, scored for what it is.
Sheraton Miyako is a traditional five-star hotel that works best for travelers who prefer quiet surroundings to Tokyo’s busiest streets. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable beds and clean, reasonably spacious rooms. The free Meguro Station shuttle makes the residential location more practical. We’d choose it for a calmer stay, particularly in a renovated Sui room; the hotel expanded that category across floors five to seven in 2026.
The catch is inconsistency: recent guests still describe a noticeable gap between refreshed rooms and older accommodation. Pool and fitness access carry extra charges, disappointing at this level, and children under seven cannot use the pool. The Japanese garden also had temporary closures reported through September 2026, so confirm access before booking around it. We’d skip it if nightlife, doorstep sightseeing or uniformly modern luxury matters most.
