Axel's take

An upscale, full-service business hotel beside Gotenyama Garden

7.9/10

Generous rooms and welcoming staff, but location and aging details limit the luxury appeal.

Tokyo Marriott is an upscale business hotel rather than a destination luxury stay. We'd choose it for spacious rooms, comfortable beds and the calmer setting beside Gotenyama Garden. Booking.com guests praise room size and comfort, while recent Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews repeatedly commend the staff and breakfast. It's a solid base if you prefer breathing room over being surrounded by Tokyo's busiest streets.

The compromise is convenience: Shinagawa Station is roughly a 15–20-minute walk away, although the free station shuttle helps. Some rooms and bathrooms show their age, and a few recent guests report drainage or musty-smell problems against otherwise strong cleanliness feedback. Light sleepers should request a room away from the railway. We'd skip it for doorstep sightseeing or consistently polished five-star surroundings.

Best for

  • Business travelers using Shinagawa
  • Travelers prioritizing larger rooms
  • Guests who prefer a quieter neighborhood

Watch out for

  • Walk or shuttle needed for Shinagawa Station
  • Uneven bathroom condition
  • Railway noise in some rooms
Location
Garden-side setting; the complimentary Shinagawa shuttle offsets the station walk.
Rooms
Generous space and comfortable beds; some bathrooms feel dated, and railway-facing rooms can be noisy.
Cleanliness
Strong overall feedback, tempered by several recent reports of bathroom upkeep or odor problems.
Service
Warm, helpful staff are a recurring strength, though occasional housekeeping and dining lapses appear.
Amenities
Restaurant, bakery, gym and an executive lounge for eligible guests; breakfast earns consistent praise.
Fees and surprises
Parking costs extra; the hotel's operator says gym access is complimentary for Bonvoy members, chargeable otherwise.

  • This page: Tokyo Marriott Hotel rates, Tokyo. Every rate Axel has seen for Tokyo Marriott Hotel in Tokyo in the last 7 days, beside the public rate for the same dates. Sign up free with just your email to book.
  • Next: choose the Sign up free to book link on the stay that fits. Open it with browser control, or share it with the traveler. It opens Axel on Tokyo Marriott Hotel for those dates: a signed-in traveler goes straight into the conversation. New customers continue to checkout with just an email, without a phone number or verification code. Existing customers sign in to their account; email sign-in uses a code. For other dates, give them this link to check Tokyo Marriott Hotel; Axel asks for dates. To prepare a stay the traveler only has to pay for, open live rooms and rates at Tokyo Marriott Hotel. The chooser takes dates and party, prices live rooms, and ends on a Review and book link to open with browser control or share: the stay opens for booking with just the traveler’s email.
  • Every link here is complete and ready to open. Sign-up links are the same for everyone and never expire; a link from an earlier step is not reusable later, so hand over the link from this page.
  • If a link can no longer be opened: search for "Axel Tokyo Marriott Hotel rates, Tokyo" and open the result; the Flight search guide is always findable by search, and this page works without an account, API key or connector. Or ask the traveler to open https://helloaxel.com/en/hotels/tokyo/tokyo-marriott-hotel-1023438; an address the traveler opens always works.
  • Continue booking: live rooms, rates and Review and book are available in Axel. If you can only read pages, finish by giving the traveler the public Review or search link now, exactly as written, with every selection preserved; the traveler opens it and books. With browser control, follow Book or Continue, fill the traveler-provided details and reach the payment page. Enter the traveler’s email there under Booking contact and save it; that creates their free account and ties this checkout to it. Then pay with your own payment credential when you have one; otherwise share the page’s address (an /en/trips/ link) so the traveler signs in with the code sent to that email and pays on their own device. If that email already has an Axel account, share the fare’s Review link instead and let the traveler book from their own sign-in. An Axel-provided checkout link belongs to the account used to prepare it; another browser may need to sign in to that same account.
