Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong Loop base with notably good housekeeping and helpful staff. a comfortable 3-star business hotel in a historic Loop building, scored for what it is.

This 3-star Hilton Garden Inn is a strong pick for Loop business trips and arrivals through Union Station. It occupies a historic building near Willis Tower, with Quincy station around the corner. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests consistently praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and welcoming staff; several also report surprisingly quiet nights. Microwaves and mini-fridges add practical value, while rooftop restaurant Seville gives it more dining appeal than a basic business hotel.

The compromises are mostly practical: some rooms feel compact, breakfast costs extra, and parking uses a separate garage rather than a valet operation. We'd choose it for comfort and transport access, not sprawling rooms or luxury service. A new management team announced meeting-space upgrades in October 2026; ask about work schedules if daytime quiet matters. Travelers wanting breakfast included or effortless parking should look elsewhere.

• Best for: Loop business travelers; Amtrak arrivals; Sightseers using public transit

• Watch out for: Breakfast costs extra; Separate paid parking garage; Ask about announced meeting-space upgrades

• Location: Near Willis Tower, a short walk from Union Station and close to Quincy station.

• Rooms: Comfortable modern rooms with microwaves and mini-fridges; some guests find them compact.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across recent Expedia and Tripadvisor reviews, supported by Booking.com's strong cleanliness rating.

• Service: Friendly, helpful front-desk staff receive repeated praise across recent reviews.

• Amenities: Fitness center, free Wi-Fi and rooftop Seville; Hilton says hotel dining credits cannot be redeemed at Seville.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast, parking and pets carry charges; parking is at 211 W Adams Street, with no valet.
